Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

Sublease

My brother has subleased an apartment from someone who is now sending threatening emails/voicemails claiming that he ruined her apartment and stole things from her. When she left, she gave my brother permission to store the belongings she left behind. He did so and she is now claiming that he stole her things. We painstakingly cleaned her apartment for her and she is now claiming that my brother has physically damaged her apartment and left it in ruins. He payed her past due bills as well, yet she is claiming he still owes her money. She has said that she will have her drug dealer ''contact'' my brother to solve the situation, clearly a threat. She has also claimed that her lawyer is Ed Vyrdoliak. How can we protect ourselves against her threats and accusations?
