hi about a year ago i re dun my rent the manager at that time tolled me that he added my work income to my rent now my new manager says that he did not added my work income and i have to pay 2000$ in back rent am i legally and financially responsible for my last manager mistake do i have pay back the rent

I am somewhat confused by your question. It sounds as if you have more of a breach of contract matter, wherein you were promised a rent credit in exchange for performing work for the previous landlord. Was the contract (promise) in writing? Even if it wasn't you still may have an enforceable contract, and may not be obligated to pay the $2,000.
