Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Illinois

The orthodontia case: This is for Mr. Messutta: Further: We did not pay for services after termination. The office tried to milk the insurance company for more after we stopped seeing him. My then husband stopped that. He either told the office to stop billing the insurance and I would guess he notified the insurance company we had stopped services. Based on that it sounds like we do not owe another penny. Is this correct?

Again, it depends on the course of treatment that was supposed to be implemented and whether the payments were for the work performed to the point of termination. Since we don't know how payments were structured, it is hard to say. All I can say is that normally professionals are only entitled to bill for services rendered.
