Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Illinois

I was charged with a theft in dupage county IL. I told police everything I knew and they wrote a phoney report which twisted my words saying I admitted to the theft, which I have a witness that was in the interveiw with me. Once I learned of the warrant I turned myself in posted bond and went to court for 1 year. The case was thrown out due to them not having a case or a witness. I never comitted this crime and am still paying for it even after the case was thrown out. I was denied a job last week because I have a theft on my background in dupage county. Can I sue over the crap the court pulled or can the goverment do whatever they want without any problems.

Did you have any attorney representing you? That is the first step in discussing bringing an action for wrongful conviction.
