Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Illinois

Please help me! lawyer and legal malpractice insurance

How do you find out if an attorney has legal malpractice insurance? I was took bad by an attorney. I have proof that he lied to me about my case and the amount, He also did not pay my medical bills that he said would be paid after settleing my case. Please help me.

If the lawyer provably lied, you need to contact the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commmission in Chicago or Springfield. We lawyers do maintain a victm's reparation fund to compensate people whose lawyers stole from them. Ask the ARDC. I think the awards are limited to $10,000 but is voluntary on the part of the bar and is better than nothing. ARDC phone numbers are available from information in the phone book.
