Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

I accidently hit a person with my car. They walked away and said they're fine. No police report. If they decide too later, can they sue? How can they prove it was me or something that happened afterward?

Yes they can sue. Report the incident to your insurer. Your insurer will defend the matter and pay a judgment or settlement if one is called for.

Proof can be problematic in situations like this, but their own testimony is evidence.
