Aggravated Battery minor against adult

I was hit in the jaw by a person that is 17 and i am 19 and he broke my jaw. is there anything i can do in court to get compensation for all my losses even though he is a minor?

Minors can be sued like everyone else. But there are procedural protections for them.

I think the better question is, even assuming you can file suit against the minor, how are you planning on collection any judgment against a person who probably does not have anything to his name? Judgment orders are nice, but if they are unenforceable, you may as well frame them and put them up on the wall. I hope this helps-
