Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

I was in a car accident in 2008 and when i went to court in 2009 the case was dismissed becaue the other party didnt not show up, but their attorney filed a docket error so now i have to go back to court and they are taking me to court for $7,500 this is for medical and damages. I wanted to know is there something I can do

Burton is correct. Call your insurer immediately if you have not done so already. Failure to appear could result in a default judgment.
