Credit Score

An attorney's office failed to file a paid judgement at the courthouse causing us to pay a higher interest rate for 3 years. Are they liable for any compensation on our behalf?

Re: Credit Score

No. An attorney has no obligation to file a paid judgment. It is your responsibility to make sure it is done. Usually attorneys do so as a courtesy but not as a matter of law.

I hope this helps,
