Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

My daughter was attacked by a dog in a persons home. I was not present when the attack happened and was not notified of the attack for 2 hours and 2 hospitals later. I did not sign any consents for treatment and would not have brought her to the facilities in the first place. Her father is the signer for the medical treatment. I have copies of the consents and they clearly state that the person signing consent is the responsible party. Do I have a legitimate complaint with the hospitals?

Dear Sirs,

Please call our office to discuss your legal options. There may be a case for the dog bite itself. With regard to the case against the Hospital, this will need to be discussed in greater detail.

Many thanks,
