Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Finding old court records

I had a case judgment of a fall i had in a store back in 1988. My lawyer informed me that i had lost the case, and i didnt think anything of it. Is there a way for me to find the court documents of the case to see exactly what the judgment was because i was not present when judgment was rendered.

Thanks-

Re: Finding old court records

Yes. You have to find out the court in which you case was pending. Then you need to get your case number from your attorney and then go to court and ask them to get you the file. You then are able to look to see what is in the file.

I hope this helps.
