Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Recovery of lost tuition?

I was in an accident and wasn't hurt badly. However, I attend a very expensive art school whose cirriculum requires the generation of independent work. Because I was unable to cary the necessary equipment (sometimes as much as 70 pounds) for a couple weeks, I feel like I should be reimbursed the cost of tuition for the two weeks I couldn't make work. Is this correct?

Re: Recovery of lost tuition?

Although I haven't researched it, most states

would recognize a loss of educational opportunity

as a compensable claim. Certainly, you would be

entitled to compensation for pain and suffering

during the entire time when you were experiencing

symptoms. Did you recieve medical treatment?
