Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

My son and his girlfriend were in a car accident.he was fine,his girlfriend was not.She suffers from abdominal pain.what was found with tests is bad internal bruising.She was told to be off a week from work.Her employer said to bring in note from doctor and that she will receive her vacation pay for the week missed.She returned to work,and was informed she had to leave because the doctor note stated light duty for awhile and not to lift anything above 20lbs.By the way,she is 6 weeks pregnant.They told her that her job may be terminated because job requirements is to be able to lift 60lbs and that they don't permit light duty.They also withheld her vacation pay they were granting her.Should she contact the insurance co. that the accident incurred with to seek restitution from them since this situation at her work was caused by the car accident?She may be out of this job,no fault of hers.What should she do? Thanks for your help!

Sounds like she has some potential major issues. She should probably hire counsel.
