Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois
My son took the rap for an accident without injuries for his girlfriend who is 18. Not he wants to set the record straight. He is 17. Should he contact the police officer or wait until his court date?

You should hire an attorney for him immediately before this turns into a nightmare for all involved.

Do not wait for the court date. I agree that you may need to get an attorney especially if the traffic violation is substantial. I also think that contacting the police officer as soon as possible is a good idea, although I don't know how much help that will be.
