i have a court date today for a village code violation concerning my home-but im out of town , can i call someone to get a continuance at the court house ?

I just saw this today. If you knew you would be out of town on the court date you should have contacted the village attorney for a continuance. At this point if a default judgment was entered you should still call them and you may have to file a motion to vacate any default judgment that may have been entered. I suggest having an attorney help you with this process.
