I have a realestate angency selling my home she worked with a woman for over 4 weeks with the woman giving a deposit of $1000.00 dollars I went thru the expence of title insurance and hired someone to move me rented a storage unit and at the very last momoment she had someone to call and say she went into the hospital and the day we were to sign her son called and said they wanted the money back and call off the deal. we never heard another word but the realestate angency said the money had to stay in a non interest account until someone went to court to get it back whitch they said amy be indiffently. how do I go about getting paid the $1000,00 for all that I have been out ?

You can see whether the other party is willing to sign a release of the earnest money to you, or you will have to file a small claims suit naming the real estate company and the other party as defendants.
