Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I'm in IL, I bought a foreclosed home from a bank in 2009. I got a certified letter from a court case stating that the last owners name was not on the foreclosure paperwork when the home was foreclosed (it has another a relative's name with et al). They are requesting that the purchase I made be void and the property be returned to him.

You are protected by the title insurance policy you obtained when you closed. Contact your closing attorney and/or the title company to initiate a claim. This is perfectly the situation for which title insurance is a necessity. The title company will defend your claim or, if you do suffer a loss, compensate you.
