Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I have been living in my house all my life with my dad. He passed away five years ago and now my sisters are trying to get me out and sell the house. My question is can I use my share of the house to get my loan. Because I want to buy it and my sisters said no.

Based on the facts that you have given, there is no reason that you cannot use your share of the equity in the house to help obtain a loan for which you other wise qualify. However, your question needs to be posed to a mortgage broker or banker, since lending rules have more to do with your question than legal issues.
