Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I have a pending case against me for foreclosure of my house. The lender has requested a motion hearing for a summary judgement and judgement of foreclosure. That date is 1/24, but I only know this because I saw it on the circuit court website (received no notice from attorney). Am I allowed to attend this motion hearing to defend my case?

Thank you for your question. Yes! You certainly can and should appear. You will want an opportunity to answer the complaint if you have not already done so. If not, you should ask for time to make a formal response to the motion. This is complex so feel free to contact me with any further questions [email protected]
