Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Hello,

If a property has delinquent taxes, and it goes to a tax sale, but is not sold, what happens from that point? I'm in Illinois if that matters?

Thanks

There is a second sale opportunity called a "scavenger sale" for properties with two years' taxes outstanding. You should explore the specifics for the county in which the property is located, but the following should give you an idea: http://www.cookcountytreasurer.com/taxdates.aspx?ntopicid=77.
