Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I recently found out that i'm going to be sued for back rent of a mobile home lot for 5 months of which i didnt reside there. My name is second on the title of the trailor (I kept my name on to establish better credit instead of fully paying the loan off), the person whos name is first on the title and I came to a verbal agreement that they would pay the lot rent and move back into the place. She ( the first title name) was told she owed to much back rent to move in, so she didn't move in and she hasn't been paying the rent. No one has contacted me regarding the situation of unpaid lot rent, i just found out by talking to my loan institution that the park owner ( who by the way is a lawyer) is begining to sue a large amount of people for back rent. The mobile home park manager was aware when I moved that the first name individual would be responsible for the rent, And the only time in the 16 months that I lived there that I was able to speak with the park owner he verbally offended me by cursing me out and threatend " I'll sue you, I'll sue them, I'll sue everbody, get me my money". Is there anything i can do with this situation that will help me keep the food in my childrens mouths? I have the soul income of a family of 5, we live paycheck to paycheck on the skin of our teeth, thank you for your time and any advice is greatly appreaciated.
