Re: selling a property

The power of attorney may or may not be effective. Did the person with dementia sign it before or after dementia set in? Is there a legal guardian of the person with dementia (guardian of the person or of the estate)? These and other questions need to be answered before you know what can be done. Try calling your county bar association and getting a referral for a real estate attorney in your area. Then bring the paperwork in and talk to the attorney about it.
