Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I was going to trade trucks with a friend title for title and I gave them 600 dollars to get thier title back from a title loan place we have been driving each others vehicles for a week now and they want thier truck back what can I do?

You dont state whether title was perfected. If title is now in your name, you do not have to do anything. If it is not, you are in a mess and perhaps the best way out is to take your truck back, assuming it is not damaged and get your $600 back.
