Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois

Sexual Harassment behind my back

This is an odd situation. I have a manager at work who I feel has sexually harassed me and would like to know what steps I should take.

I am a server at a restaurant and I have a male manager who incidentally is homosexual. On a day at work when I was not there, he was sitting in the back room with a few other female servers. At some point in the conversation they began discussing me. Among other rude things this manager had to say about me (even called me a few names), he urged one of my friends at work to call the girl that I am dating and ask her about the size of my genitalia. My friend refused. This conversation also occured in the presence of other employees of the establishment (other servers and a few bus boys).

When I found out about this I was not only uncomfortable but also extremely embarassed. I has since requested that this manager never work at the same times as me. I have seen him twice since the incident and both times I have felt physically sick and have avoided him to the point of not responding to some of his questions (trying to make small talk).

What should I do? Work is now somewhat uncomfortable but I like the pay and don't want to quit.
