Legal Question in Social Security Law in Illinois

i was on SSI for almost ten years and i got lock up for 3 years .when i came out i was told i had to make a claim again. idid do that but my claim was disapproved .the olny reason istop geting my ssi was because i got lock up. so i am asking how am i suppose to get back on
