how long does it take to get ur tax garnishment stopped

If you have a wage garnishment for taxes, then the IRS or the IDR will continue to collect the past taxes from your employer until the balance has been collected or 84 days. If the debt has not been collected in 84 days, then the creditor will need to reissue the garnishment.
