I got caught DWLS in Il 1st offense

my license has been suspended before for more than 3 moving violations in a year, the current suspension is for the same thing. what can i expect on my court date, min and max sentences? should i get an attorney?

The charge is a Class A misdemeanor and carries up to 364 days in jail and a possible fine of up to $2500. Just as important, in your situation, a conviction would extend your suspension. In some instances these suspensions can be lifted by bringing older tickets back to court and vacating convictions, replacing that with a supervision. The best way to fight this would be to get you license unsuspended by vacating one of the moving violations.

You can be fined up to $2500 and/or up to 364 day in the county jail.
