Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Traffic Citations and Permanent Record

I live in Illinois and tonight I was

handed a failure to yield to

pedestrian ticket as well as for not

having a proof of insurance in the

car at the time (I have insurance on

the vehicle). I was wondering if

these will go on my permanent

record and hinder my future career

search? I plan on submitting proof

of insurance to the state attorney

and paying the citation for the

tickets.

Re: Traffic Citations and Permanent Record

I always advise everyone to avoid taking any conviction on anything. YOu never know when that conviction will come back to haunt you. An attorney should be able to negotiate with the state's attorney for a plea bargain under which you might get "supervision" and thus avoid the convicton. If I were you, I would hire an attorney.
