Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

My aunt just died. I believe she had a will written in California. Is there a site I could check to see if a will was written?

You didn't say where she died. Illinois requires that the will be filed with the clerk of the Probate court even if the will does not have to be probated. Another way to find the will is to contact the attorney who drafted it.

Since you are related it is possible you could be eligible to inherit from her even if she did not have a will. This depends on whether she had any closer living relatives.

For futher guidance feel free to call for a chat. My website is www.legacylaws.com.
