Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Executor

My first cousin named me executor of his will. Upon his

death what is the first thing that I should do? I am his only legally living relative. Also can I challenge anyone

else if they have him sign new legal papers naming them

as power of attorney, and knowing that they are not related

to him? Thank's.

Re: Executor

After his death, file his will with the probate division of the county Clerk's office. Determine whether probate will be require by inventorying the property and whether it is subject to probate laws as included in his estate. At his death, any POA is void.
