My uncle recently passed away. I was in his will and would like to know how I can look into this.

Hello. Your uncle's will should be filed in the county where he resided at the time of his passing.

In other words, if your uncle died in Cook County, Illinois, then the will should be filed with the office of the County clerk which is in 802 of the Daley Center in Chicago. Once the will is filed an estate should be opened in the name of your uncle with the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Illinois. Will be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have.
