Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
If I inherited a business from a friend and the business was going through probate, would I be able to run the business or would I have to wait for the probate to be finalized? I am writing a fictional book that involves this situation and can�t seem to find the answer online.

It would depend on the judge. The normal procedure would be for the judge to allow it under court supervision.
