Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

We have had Letters of Office submitted to open an estate account. The 2 daughters of the deceased have been named as Independent Executors. Do both daughters have to sign for transactions or as Independent Executors can they act alone?

Generally, either of them can bind the estate, although a particular third-party may demand consent from both. More importantly though, if they act alone or separately they may find themselves first in conflict, and then in court. Coordination and cooperation between co-executors is extremely important.
