My mother died and has a will and living trust, I am the executor,what do I do next?

The original will should be filed with the clerk of the court of the county in which your mother resided on the date of her death. You should make sure you keep a copy for your records, but if you need to make copies, do so without removing any staples or binding.

I believe an apointment with a licensed attorney in the locality where your mother resided woiuld be helpful. If you can tell who helped her draft the will and trust, that would be a good place to start.
