my partner commited suicide we were lesbians she wrote on her sucide letter a boat we purchase together with both signature her as the prime owner and me as co owner on a honda contract so wrote for the boat to be paid off could this be a legal matter or not if her family does not pay for the boat? She commited suicide in indiana in our home and her family has a attorney in illinois handling the probate since she did not have a will.

Not certain as to your question, but as a co-owner of property included in her

estate, you are entitled to inquire as to the inventory, distribution, final accounting,

and administration of her property. Contact the probate attorney as a c0-owner or

creditor of the estate and request status and make decisions according to how

the property will be administered.
