Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

probate and wills with and estate

I have lived with my partner who recently passed. We have been together for 27yrs he had 3 children from a previous marriage, before he hap passed he stated that he wanted me to have our house that we have but only his name is on the deed he had told his children about his wishes. But 1 of his children does not want to go by his wishes she does 1 day then the next day she changes her mind. He did leave a will it name his oldest daughter in charge of his estate she is trying to go by his wishes. Is there anything we can do anything legal about this or do I have to give up my home of 27yrs. He did not change his will for 19yrs. Is there anything I can do? Even to save my house

If you were not named in the will, obtaining the house will be very difficult if his children wish to keep it. You might try to contest the will, but it will be very difficult. You should contact an estate attorney in your area as soon as possible.
