Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

Left Distal Bicep Repair Settlement

I recently was injured at work and ruptured my left distal bicep tendon. It was surgically repaired 4 days later. I am currently on workers comp. I am a concrete laborer and do not know how much function or strengthI will regain. Am I entitled to a settlement and if so, any idea of possibly how much?

Re: Left Distal Bicep Repair Settlement

Dear Sirs,

You have a right to a lump sum settlement based on the nature and extent of your injury.

You also have additional rights including vocational rehabilitation and other forms of assistance if in fact you cannot return to your former job.

We have sucessfully handled many such cases in our nearly thirty (30) years of practice.

Please call us should you wish to discuss your rights.

All best,

John

Re: Left Distal Bicep Repair Settlement

In a nutshell, the answer is most likely you are entitled to a settlement. Not even the best lawyers could evaluate your case without the evidence. Given your profession, you, without question, should have a workers' compensation lawyer on your side. We'd be glad to discuss your case with you.

There is no honest way to tell you what it's worth without reviewing your medical records, seeing what recovery you make and knowing your wage. It's definitely worth a decent amount and you certainly will get more with an attorney. If you would like a recommendation let us know.

Re: Left Distal Bicep Repair Settlement

Honestly, you need an attorney face-to-face meeting to answer this question accurately.

Otherwise, it is just speculation and generalized information.

An attorney will cost you 20% of the total settlement, but it may well save you hundreds of thousands of dollars.

(You can check my website for just one such example.)

Best of luck to you!

Matt Belcher
