1. You have sufficient balance in your account. You honored a cheque in favor of a party. Party duly presented the cheque but bank dishonored it without any reason. As a customer can you claim compensation?

If the bank inspite of having sufficient balance in the drawer's account dishonours his cheque, the drawer customer can claim compensation from the bank for wrongful dishonour of his cheque.

there has to be some reason for dishonoring of the cheque. go through the return memo and re frame your query.

bank cannot dishonour a cheque without a reason.Yes you can can claim damages.
