Sir, kindly clarify the following
1 ) X is a savings bank a/c holder in SBI issued a cheque to Y for Rs 10 lakhs on 1-12-09.
X died on 9-12-09 the above cheque is encashed by Y on 20-12-09 after completing the death rituals etc. Please clarify weather the drawl of the above amount by Y is correct or not.

There is no illegality in the cheque being encashed after death of the drawer.
