Dear Sir / Madam,

(Alipore, Kolkata, West Bengal)

"Self" is written on a organization cheque in the following instances -

1. Withdrawal of cash for personal use - Drawings.

2. Withdrawal of cash for office use - But ideally here the name of the Cashier is written.

3. Transfer of amount from Company A/c to your personal a/c where the signatory in both the accounts is the same person.
