Legal Question in Bankruptcy in India

Guarantor in mortgage loan

My father stood Gaurantor in my Uncle's mortgage loan and builder sold that property before allotment to another party. How can my father get relieve from this guarantee and is it advisable to file bankcrupcy as he is of 55 years and don't have property but resides at my grandparents property. Please help me out this as I am very much tensed due to this.
