Is it legal to send medical transcription over the internet to India to be transcribed if it is encrypted and then sent back using an FTP site?

Please note that there are a number of players in India using the internet for the transfer of files for medical transcription.
As of date there appears to be no bar on medical transcription sent via the internet if it is encrypted and then sent back using an FTP site.

There appear no illegality as far as laws of India are concerned. In India there are numerous Medical Transcription Organisations which receive voice data from USA for transcription and sent back by them to USA after transcription.
