Sir our question is related to sales tax as in past we started a trading firm of surgical equipments due to our new buisness and very small turnover around 20000 actually we sell a goods to a distributor of maharastra goods arond rupees 21000 and deducting a 2% cst sales against c-foam and provide him a computerize bill in which we charged them cst but we not applied fot tin number so we mentioned on our bill tin applied for trading identification number or sales tax)number to sales tax department after 2 or 3 months we closed this buisness so can we pay this amount of sales tax to sales department with self declaration or legal apologize letter for non applying of cst number and selling goods

If any amount is collected/recovered as tax, then it is obligatory to deposit such amount in the treasury with appropriate computations, workings, returns, challans etc.
