knowledge is a sea whether you are a layman or an advocate or whatever.
read IPC, CrPC,Evidence, CPC, Transfer of Property Rights, Matrimonial laws,... and so on

It is necessart for a laymen to know his constitutional rights.
THere are many other laws which should be know,but it gets a long list.
