Legal Question in Technology Law in India
My friend had created a fake account on facebook.. She met someone through that account and soon they started dating each other.. However, when he prposed her she declined his prposal and honestly admitted that, that was her fake a/c on facebook through which they'd met. Few days past with no conflicts further and one day all of a sudden the guy messaged her that he is going to sue her under some section of Information Technology Act since she had misrepresented her identity using a fake profile. She badly needs a legal help.. Thank you in advance..

If a person create false identity to get some benefit from others then that one can be punished
apart from offence of impersonation, an action can be taken under IT Act. but ask your friend to consult a lawyer in person to avoid such a situation.
