Legal Question in Constitutional Law in India

I have a joint factory with my brother and i am a partner in that factory. It is a regd firm. We have a dispute. Other partners have the possession of the factory. Other partners banned my entry in factory and i do not want to take any risk. I want police protection for my safety and want 145. Can i apply directly to police by an application or it is a court process? What is the exact meaning of 145 and under which circumstances it is applicable?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Section 145 of the Indian Penal Code -. Joining or continuing in unlawful assembly, knowing it has been commanded to disperse

Whoever joins or continues in an unlawful assembly, knowing that such unlawful assembly has been commanded in the manner prescribed by law to disperse, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

We will have to take cognizance of all the issues pertaining to the dispute from both sides to amicably resolve and settle the matter.

"Police Action precedes Court reaction."
