it will be illegal because the of marriage has been fixed by the indian majority act.the for marriage for male is 21st years and for female is 18th years has been fixed by law but as per mohammadan law marriage will be valid not illegal.

Please complete your statement so that an appropriate opinion could be recorded.

The legal age for marriage of a Hindu male is 21 and that of a female is 18 years under section 5 (iii) of Hindu Marriage Act. Therefore, a marriage between persons less than the stipulated age may not be registered.

However, the marriage of persons below the age of 21 / 18 is neither void under section 11 of the Act nor is it voidable under section 12 of the Act. Therefore, it may not be illegal.
