Constructing a hall underground as basement in Maharastra ( PUNE)

Is there any rules for constructing underground. I have a property, where I need to build a house. Planning to construct a basement, do I need to take permission from the munciple co-oporation for building a basement. What other regulation I need to follow.

Thank You

You need to get approval of building plan from the Nuncipal Authority. In Mumbai Soil Investigation is compulsory. You need to Check with Pune Corporation for procedure for approval. But approval is must. Your Architect must be knowing the rules and he should liason with Corporation for all this work as this is part of his services.

Consult RCC Consultant for safety and design.
