Legal Question in Construction Law in India

government road

a goverment road which was using

as a public road before 1947 and it also mentioned in city survey records in 1976, as govt public road,but some persons have constructed building on that road,can any government authority state/central have power/rules to give a construcation permission on government public road.sir,all old govt records shows it is govt road since from 1922.please infrom me whether the construcation on govt road is legal or illegal,and also inform me that is their any rules/law to allot govt road to public to construct their house? if it is illegal to whom i should contact.

Please contact personally alongwith the city survey map including of the town planning area. As far legality is concerned if they are constructed illegally they can be demolished by following a certain procedure.

But its not easy said and done!

Yes,construction on public road is illegal.You can approach to municipal corporation of your area/city.
