complaint regarding SONY india pvt ltd

Sir,, 17.09.2007, I had deposited my camcorder (make � SONY model DCR-TRV355E) to the local service centre, for checking & repair, as it was not ejecting the cassette, which was inside it and was continuously showing, on its LCD-screen, - the 5 digit self diagnosis display � read as � C:32:11

Now two months passed, but it had not repaired and returned my camcorder till date.

As its service centre had spoiled my camera and is not returning it back, may I get back the price of my camera with compensation? How?

You may file a case for deficiency of service against the service centre with the Consumer forum for redressal of your greivance and for compensation.

The details required have not been given. How old the cam was. Whether the warranty period is still there. But sure the centre is liable for the short and negligent conduct. You can approach consumer forum in this regard.

simply send a legal notice first to return the cost and if they dont pay then file consumer case in ur area.

The answer is simple. It is: YES. For this, you will have to file a complaint in the District consumer court. You can do it yourself or through an advocate. Guidelines for doing it yourself exist on the National Consumer Commission website and many others.

You can also file a complaint with the police.
